Join us in Corner Brook on September 23 for NLCA’s Western Membership Meeting, featuring a special Town Hall Panel Session: Building for Growth, Building for the Future.

This interactive 45-minute session will bring together NLCA’s President & COO, Board Chair, and industry voices to discuss our top election priorities — expanding the workforce, addressing Newfoundland and Labrador’s infrastructure deficit, and shaping vibrant communities through placemaking. Most importantly, this session is designed to hear directly from you, our members. Your insights and feedback will help shape NLCA’s advocacy efforts leading into the 2025 Provincial Election.

Unfortunately, Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and Hydro-Québec has advised that, in light of recently issued guidelines from the Provincial Government regarding the activities of departments, agencies, boards, and commissions during election periods, they must withdraw from participating in the Western Membership Meeting. The fixed provincial election date in Newfoundland and Labrador is October 14, and the election may be called as early as mid-September. Once that happens and the House of Assembly is dissolved, a caretaker period begins and remains in effect until a clear election outcome is determined. We look forward to reconnecting and resuming our discussions following the election.
